In July 2021 Stats NZ underwent a fit-out on one of the floors of their Auckland office. This provided an opportunity to replace old chairs in their other offices in Wellington and Christchurch.
As part of their evaluation process, the Stats NZ procurement team visited the Montage Interiors showroom. The team tried and tested the Buro Metro II 24/7 and were impressed by the overall level of comfort and support that the chair provided.
Furthermore, an OT assessment found that the ergonomic features of the chair would make it suitable for a wide range of staff.
Another key consideration was the many benefits offered by the chair over the whole of life costs. Stats NZ purchased 110 of the Buro Metro II 24/7 chairs, for their three offices.
